1919 WWI Veteran Celebration in Winegar.
World War I, also known as the First World War or the Great War, was a global war that lasted from 1914 to 1918. In 1917 the USA entered the war and Winegar, Wisconsin sent brave men to fight the European Central Powers.
Marching to Winegar's second 2-room school house (built in 1914) for photographs, October 4th or 5th, 1919, along the muddy Main Street.
Probably Sunday October, 5th. Sunday was the only day the Sawmill didn't operate!
